Jones Health Law Welcomes Sara Dastgerdi as the 2025 Spring Intern for the Miami Office

Why did you decide to go to law school?

I have always had a passion for helping people and want to make a difference in my community.

What interests you about Health Law?

I find Health Law interesting because it is so diverse in its application. I became interested in the healthcare industry when I volunteered at a local hospital starting in high school. This past summer I volunteered in that same hospital in the Case Management and Risk Management departments to explore more of the legal aspects of healthcare. I decided to declare a concentration in Health Law from Nova Southern University and have enjoyed my health based classes so far. 

What are you hoping to gain from this internship?

I hope to gain hands-on experience and increase my knowledge on legal issues in the healthcare field.

I hosted a radio show at a top 40 hits station while I was earning my undergrad degree at UF!
